Glass Stacking

Glass Stacking: Sleek and Efficient Folding Sliding System

Glass stacking refers to the arrangement of frameless glass panels in a folding sliding system, allowing them to neatly stack when the system is opened or closed. This configuration provides a seamless and unobstructed view, maximizing space utilization and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the system.

Our frameless door system operates as a folding door, with all the panels hinged together in a Konstantina style. The system is designed to accommodate odd numbers of panels, such as 3, 5, 7, 9, etc. Various configurations are possible, including 3 + 3 or 5 + 3, depending on your specific requirements.

System Specifications

Maximum Door Width: The maximum door width we adhere to is approximately 700mm wide.

Glass Thickness: Our system is compatible with 8mm, 10mm, or 12mm toughened safety glass (TSG), depending on the door heights.

Doors up to 2100mm can be supplied with 8mm TSG.

Doors from 2100mm to 2400mm can accommodate 10mm TSG.

Doors exceeding 2400mm up to 3000mm will require 12mm glass fitted with the center hinge.

Center Hinge: The center hinge is utilized for taller doors to enhance glass stability. Despite its name, the center hinge does not have to be installed in the middle but can be positioned at 2100mm / 2200mm, out of eye level.

Glass Installation: The glass installation drawing shows a slot in the track, but for a neater finish, it is recommended to install the roller hinges when fitting the track.

FAQ

Is the floor or top out of level? In cases where the floor or top surface is not level, we typically work based on the smallest size. If the floor is uneven, it may need to be built up, whereas if the top surface is uneven, an aluminium plate can be placed as a cover strip.
