Installation Method​

1. Standoff Pin System: Standoff pins are metal fittings that are drilled or chemically anchored into the surface, and they have a threaded stud or rod that extends vertically. 
2. Channel System: In this method, an aluminium URAIL is installed along the bottom of the glass panels. The URAIL is securely fixed to the floor or supporting structure. 
3. Spigot System: The spigot system involves using metal spigots or mini-posts to hold the glass panels in place. Spigots are typically cylindrical or square fittings with a base plate that is fixed to the floor or supporting structure. 
4. Recessed System:  (aka Invisible or Concealed Fix) This is the most economical method of installation. In this method, the glass panels are fixed into a recess or groove in the floor or supporting structure, creating a flush and seamless finish.

Ironmongery Selection for Balustrades​

1. Stainless Steel Fittings: For Standoff and Spigot, our fittings collection exclusively use the durable 316 grade. This grade ensures maximum resistance to corrosion and is particularly suited for coastal and harsh environmental conditions, providing longevity and maintaining aesthetics over time.
2. Heavy-Duty Aluminium: For Urail, we provide heavy-duty aluminium, chosen for its exceptional strength and rust-free properties. This material is designed to withstand significant wind loads, making it an ideal choice for balustrades in areas exposed to high winds and demanding outdoor conditions. 

*Both our stainless steel and aluminium selections are engineered for durability, safety, and compliance with the highest standards.

Glass We Use

1. Tempered glass – Tempered glass is known for its high impact resistance and shatterproof properties. It is generally considered to be approximately four to five times stronger than annealed (normal) glass. When broken, it fractures into small pieces.  
2. Tempered Laminated glass –  Tempered laminated glass is a combination of tempered glass and an intermediate layer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB). The interlayer is sandwiched between two or more sheets of tempered glass. Tempered laminated glass is considered a safer option for balustrades and provides the best solution for secure guardrails at heights, thanks to its ability to retain shards in case of breakage, thereby reducing the risk of injuries and ensuring the protection of individuals. Additionally, its thermal tempering process enhances its strength and durability.

Glass Thickness​

• Ground Floor Applications: We use 15mm tempered monolithic glass. This option is an ideal choice for ground-level installations, providing the perfect blend of strength and clarity to enhance the visual appeal of your space without compromising on safety.
• Upper Floor Applications: To enhance safety and compliance on higher levels, our offerings include 17.38mm and 21.38mm tempered laminated glass. These thicker, laminated options provide additional security and durability, perfect for elevated spaces.
• For projects with specific considerations, we can offer 19mm tempered glass. This monolithic glass, when used at height, necessitates the inclusion of a guardrail to ensure the utmost safety and adherence to regulatory standards.

Other Options

1. Structural Round Handrails: For enhanced stability and support, we offer structural round handrails that are securely fixed to the wall. These handrails are designed to provide additional resistance, making them an ideal choice for areas requiring extra safety measures. 
2. Non-Structural Decorative U-Capping: For clients seeking an extra touch of design and a more defined edge to their glass balustrades, we provide decorative non-structural U-capping. This addition is purely for aesthetic purposes, offering a sleek finish that accommodates individuals with a fear of clear, open spaces. Additionally, it is designed to cover glass that is laminated for optimum protection of the PVB layers, ensuring both aesthetics and durability.
3. Frosted Film on glass for privacy: For clients seeking a balance between transparency and privacy, we offer frosted film applications on glass.
4. Curved Glass: We can also offer curved glass which is on special order from China. This option is suitable for projects requiring custom-shaped glass elements.
